Faculty Positions

As advertised in Science and the Chronicle of Higher Education, LONI member universities (Louisiana State University, Louisiana Tech University, Southern University, Tulane University, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and the University of New Orleans) are seeking applications for 12 faculty positions, in computational science, computational materials science, and computational biology. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to: materials theory and modeling, polymer design, nanocomposites, chip design/fabrication, MEMs, mixed scale flows, metagenomics, structural biology, computational biofluid mechanics, algorithms and software for complex scientific applications, visualization, distributed data management, scheduling services, and scientific computing.

Searches are being carried out at all six institutions. Applicants who wish to be considered for positions at all sites may send their application materials, including a CV, statement of research and teaching interests, and the names of references, to facultypositions@institute.loni.org. However, as the interests at each institution are somewhat different, we strongly encourage applicants to contact individual member site search committees directly.
